High-performance System LSI for processing images,
voices/sounds, and communication protocols is compatible
with the 3GPP standard for third generation cellular
phones.
Designed to operate on low power consumption, it is
suitable for mobile devices that require rich-media
image transmissions and communications.
Features
Image, audio, music, and communication protocols are
all integrated on a single chip.
Our original, high-performance, hybrid, built-in
MPEG4 engine (CODEC).
In combination with on-screen display (OSD), it is
capable of outputting high-quality image display.
Capable of capturing VGA still image.
DRAM stack package is available as an option.

Integrating all the functions required for digital still cameras, the DSC series not only makes scalable system configuration possible but helps reduce the costs of our clients' system components.
The DSC series enables high-speed, high-quality image processing, according to our clients' requirements. It meets a wide range of products, from low cost cameras to high-quality cameras with high resolution.

Equipped with a 32-bit RISC CPU (Lexra LX4180) with max. 96 MHz.
Built-in CCD-Timing Generator that supports various types of CCD and CMOS sensor
Built in high speed image processing unit (RPU)
Different display interfaces supported, including Sanyo digital I/F LCD and EVF controller (LCI5004); AU Optronics, Casio, and Epson direct digital input LCDs; Displaytech QVGA EVF. Direct connectability helps lower system costs.

SESAME is a system LSI for compression/decompression (CODEC)
of JPEG2000
Features
JPEG2000 allows substantially less image distortions than
JPEG at high compression ratios.

Images at different resolutions can be created from one
image file saved in JPEG2000.
